Hayfork is the second largest town in Trinity County. It has its own unique flavor and to some extent is reminiscent of a frontier village. Charming old ranch houses, barns, and gardens dot the Hayfork Valley Three miles south of Hayfork is the Natural Bridge, which is both historically interesting and an unusual natural phenomenon. There is a nice picnic area where you can stop for a snack or lunch. Attractions in the Hayfork area include the Trinity County Fairgrounds, Indian Valley/Butter Creek recreational trail system, South Fork Scenic Trail and Ewing Reservoir. The area also provides numerous opportunties for camping, hiking, hunting, fishing and sight seeing.
