Each year, TCPA offers the Torsten Lutz Memorial Scholarship to a deserving Trinity County high school graduate entering an aviation-oriented career. Many of our scholarship recipients have gone on to become mechanics, pilots, or active in aviation business.

Our scholarship was started in 1994 to honor the memory of fellow TCPA member Torsten Lutz. The Lutz family and several friends donated to TCPA in his memory and the TCPA Board decided to use that seed money to establish a scholarship fund. Through the years, we have received donations in memory of other pilots.

The bulk of the scholarship fund is financed by your tax-deductible donations. Your gift, in any amount, is used exclusively for scholarships.

To donate to the TCPA scholarship fund, please send checks to TCPA, PO Box 401, Trinity Center, CA, 96091. TCPA is a Chapter member of the California Pilots Association, an IRS 501 (C)(3) organization, all donations to our scholarship funds are tax deductible. Please think of us when you wish to remember pilot friends "flying west."

We want to thank all the members and interested non-members who donated to our TCPA Scholarship Fund. Our goal is to give financial aid to graduating students of our local High Schools who wish to pursue further education in aviation oriented studies.
