Trinity County Pilots Association, a chapter of the California Pilots Association, is a non-profit that promotes general aviation and provides public and government outreach to better the understand of benefits of aviation. TCPA members include individuals and businesses who value the presence of good air-transportation facilities in Trinity County. "This corporation is formed is to insure the usage and well-being of general aviation as a part of the transportation system, to promote local airport improvements, to provide a forum for expression of individual opinions of a wide range of aviation enthusiasts, and to engage in activities that promote the individual and community appreciation of general aviation." History: when formed and how The Trinity County Pilots Association was founded in 1983 by George Loegering with 12 charter members. Charter membership was extended the first year to increase membership. The Association was incorporated in July 1984. Charter members at the first TCPA meeting on April 14, 1989-- Dennis and Donna Harman, Perry and Fran Dove, Dick Rymer, Bob and Norma Puryear, George and Janet Loegering, Lee and Angie Wachsmuth, Roger and Karen Goetz, Jerry and Liz Cupp, Eddie and Geneva Murrison, Bob and Sylvia Thomas, David Laffranchini, LM "Luke" Lucas, and Bill and Lousie Birch. Dick Rymer was the first TCPA editor and is still an honorary member. When are meetings? TCPA holds an annual meeting in April. |
